Our family started pushing tamales in 2008. Founded by Elizabeth a proud Texan, her husband Israel, a native of Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, and her father Richard they came together with a shared passion for all things Mexican cuisine and culture, and it was magic from the start.
From their early beginnings with just a single tamale cart, they've grown and expanded in so many incredible ways. Now they distribute their tasty tamales all over the USA, along with a whole bunch of other awesome products from local artisans

The Bodega
In June of 2020, The Tamale Company was looking for solutions to stay afloat during the pandemic. We put our heads together and came up with a rad idea - we turned our catering kitchen into a grab n' go shop for our awesome community! We wanted everyone to have a safe place to come and get their tamale fix, along with a bunch of other bomb Mexican meals that would bring back all kinds of childhood memories.
So we officially opened our brick-and-mortar location in Duncanville in July of 2020, just planning to keep it open for a few months. We threw together some unused shelves, desks, and a fridge for a temporary setup, thinking it was just gonna be a quick fix. But guess what? Our little Bodega turned out to be a total game-changer! We're so stoked that our community loves it as much as we do - people come from all over just to hang with us and eat our amazing food.
Seriously, we're beyond grateful to be able to support our community and call this place our home. We love our customers, and we're so lucky to be able to serve them every day with the tastiest tamales around. We're not going anywhere, so come and hang with us anytime!
